In this privacy policy we explain which personal data we process when you visit our website, buy tickets, send us an enquiry or subscribe to our newsletter, why we do so and what rights you have. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, «DSG») and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
You will find the terms of admission and use for your visit to the park on a separate page: Terms of admission and use.

If you have any questions about data protection, you can reach us at this address.
2. Hosting and server logs
Our website is operated by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). When you open a page, technically necessary data is processed: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system, and the previously visited page. We need this data to deliver the website securely and quickly and to fend off attacks. It is not combined with other data and is deleted after a short time. Cloudflare is certified under the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
3. Cookies and consent
On your first visit, a banner asks you which services you allow:
- Necessary: always active. We store your choice in your browser (local storage «cl_consent») so that the banner does not appear on every visit.
- Statistics: Google Analytics (see section 4).
- Marketing: Google Ads and Meta Pixel (see section 5).
Without your consent, statistics and marketing services do not set any cookies. In that case, Google receives at most anonymous signals without cookies (Google Consent Mode). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via «Cookie settings» at the bottom of every page.
4. Statistics: Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited (Ireland) or Google LLC (USA) to understand how our website is used (e.g. pages viewed, time spent, device type, approximate region). Google shortens the IP address; we only receive aggregated reports. Google Analytics is integrated via Google Tag Manager, which itself does not store any personal data.
More information: policies.google.com/privacy
5. Marketing: Google Ads and Meta Pixel
With your consent, we use:
- Google Ads conversion tracking (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) to measure whether someone buys tickets after clicking on an ad, and to show ads in a more targeted way.
- Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Ireland) or Meta Platforms, Inc. (USA) to measure the effect of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to build suitable target audiences.
In doing so, cookies are set and data such as pages viewed, ticket basket and purchase events, and device information are transmitted to Google or Meta. If you are logged in to Google or Meta, these providers can link the data to your account. Google and Meta are certified under the Data Privacy Framework.

6. Ticket shop (Smeetz)
You book tickets and experiences (e.g. Swimming with sea lions, birthday parties) through the ticket shop of Smeetz SA (Lausanne, Switzerland), which is displayed on our pages. For the booking, Smeetz collects the necessary details (e.g. name, email, payment data) and processes them on our behalf to handle and deliver the tickets. We do not receive any payment data. Smeetz may set technically necessary cookies to run the shop and reports booking steps (e.g. «Add to basket», «Purchase») to our statistics and marketing services, provided you have consented to them.
More information: smeetz.com
7. Gift vouchers (e-guma)
We sell vouchers through the shop of e-guma AG (Switzerland). If you order there, their privacy policy also applies.
8. Newsletter (Brevo)
For our newsletter we use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France). When you subscribe, we store your email address and, if provided, your first name. Subscription uses the double opt-in procedure: you first receive an email and are only subscribed once you have confirmed. We store the time of subscription and confirmation as proof.
Brevo analyses whether newsletters are opened and links are clicked so that we can improve our content. You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter; your address will then be blocked for further mailings.
9. Registration and contact forms
If you send us a registration via a form (e.g. school trip or group), we use your details (e.g. school or group, contact person, email, phone, date, number of people) exclusively to process your enquiry. The details are sent by email to our administration; you receive a copy. We use Brevo to send them (see section 8). We keep enquiries for as long as necessary to handle them and to meet legal obligations.
10. Live weather cam (Twitch)
Our weather cam is streamed via Twitch (Twitch Interactive, Inc., USA). The player is only loaded when you click «Live-Wetter-Cam ansehen» (watch live weather cam). Only then is data such as your IP address transmitted to Twitch, and Twitch may set cookies.

11. Links to other services
For directions and timetables we link to Google Maps and the SBB (Swiss Federal Railways). The privacy policy of the respective provider only applies once you follow such a link. Fonts and the search function on this website run entirely on our own server; no data is transmitted to third parties.
12. Social media
We are present on Instagram and Facebook. The links on our website are simple links; data is only transmitted when you click on them. On the platforms themselves, Meta's privacy policy applies.
13. Photos and videos in the park
For photos and videos taken during your visit to the park, the rules in the Terms of admission and use (section 15) apply.
14. Data transfer abroad
Some of the providers mentioned also process data in the USA or other countries outside Switzerland and the EU. We only transfer data if adequate protection is in place, for example through certification under the Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
15. Your rights
You have the right to request information about the data we hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. You can object to processing, withdraw consent at any time and request that your data be handed over to you. To do so, write to us at verwaltung@connyland.ch.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, «EDÖB», edoeb.admin.ch); people in the EU can contact their competent supervisory authority.
16. Data security
All data is transmitted in encrypted form (recognisable by «https://» and the padlock symbol in the address bar). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
17. Changes
We update this privacy policy when our website or the services we use change. The current version on this page applies.
