Antares – pure high-flying thrills!

Switzerland’s first vertical roller coaster.

Thrills from 130 cm accompanied from 115 cm

Switzerland’s first vertical roller coaster – and the tallest of its kind!

There are only three of these extraordinary coasters in the world – and one of them is at Conny-Land.

With a height of 34 metres, swinging gondolas and a ride sensation that is unique worldwide, this coaster offers thrills for adrenaline fans and brave families alike.

Little adventurers from a height of 115 cm (accompanied) can already come aboard. The vertical climb to a dizzying height offers a fantastic view before the car starts moving – first swinging, then racing down the vertical track.

Antares is an attraction for all generations, combining excitement, fun and amazement!

The theme was created by David Lopez, a creative theme designer from Spain. His concept combines voodoo mysticism with futuristic space vibes – and blends the ride seamlessly between the flight simulator at the Space Café and the mysterious voodoo area. The design was built entirely in-house by the Conny-Land team, led by our theme artist Roberto Torres. With great attention to detail and a feel for atmosphere, the vision was brought to life.

Developing the «Antares» design concept

The story of «Antares»

An ancient legend says that many years before the Sumerians, an advanced race arrived on planet Earth to study life.

They were a mixture of robots and humanoid organisms. Their advanced technology and their extraordinary height of more than 15 metres made them appear to humans like gods from the sky. Amazed by these visitors, the people began to build a magnificent temple in their honour.

But as the time drew near when these visitors arrived from space each year, their interstellar ship entered the atmosphere in a great ball of fire, lighting up the sky.

After the impact on the Earth’s surface, the inhabitants of this ancient civilisation went to the site and recovered the remains of the spaceship and its occupants.

With these remains, the inhabitants completed the temple as an offering and in worship of their gods, hoping that they would one day return. Over the centuries the visitors never came back, and this ancient civilisation was lost and forgotten in the annals of history.
